Their story starts way back in college in New York at NYU... 9 Years ago!

They had worked on a student film when Julia was a senior and Nick was a junior and therefore were aware of each other's respected talents, but spent months attempting to work together to no such success. Finally, after many failed requests to hire one or the other (and a stealthy request for drinks or coffee from Nick--Julia didn't even realize at the time!) Nick brought Julia onto a music video. As I'm sure you can all imagine, Nick is very professional on set so Julia never guessed he was interested until they were out with friends off-the-clock. They couldn't stop smiling and chatting. Their friends got the hint and let them alone... And the rest is history as they say! After only a month or so of seeing each other they decided to plan a trip to Jamaica together. From then on out, they knew traveling together was the most fun they had or would ever have!

They went on to own a production company together in NYC, work for IATSE (sometimes together but usually not), travel the world filming and for fun. Together they've made friends that would also join them on many of their adventures around the world!

Nick got Julia obsessed with alpine skiing in Colorado... Julia got Nick in love with exotic cuisines and how to cook them.... Nick taught Julia how to slow down and listen... Julia got Nick into climbing... They both turned each other on to music they'd never heard... They learned and explored together.

8.5 Years Later found Nick and Julia in Tulum, Mexico with friends (of course!) and Julia surprised Nick with a Mayan Spiritual Ceremony called a Temazcal. It was a stone sweat lodge (heated with hot lava rocks) in which they went in with an intention to move forward with in the future. They had very personal intentions but halfway through the Spanish and Maya-spoken ceremony, the shaman asked them what their plans for the future of their relationship were. This was a surprise to them both (after Nick translated) and as it turns out, Nick had already planned to propose later that same day on the beach! The moment was just too perfect and beautiful to pass up so Nick popped the question! In the "heat of the moment..."

Nick and Julia are happiest with friends and family and they can't wait to celebrate their relationship and futures with a small-ish group of you next year in Telluride, CO!
