A brief conversation about bourbon on a sailboat formed a quick bond between Julia and Scott. It was then discovered that they lived six houses away from each other in Ravenswood. They had lived close to each other for 8 years, and despite the modern technology of dating apps, it took sailing out in Lake Michigan to meet.

What then started as a summer romance became an adventure-filled relationship bursting with friends and family that felt like home. Their shared passions for sailing, old fashions, and building strong relationships made it clear that this was their final port.
