Where will the wedding taking place?
The Forbes Theater at 500 Pearl St! The entrance is on Pearl Street, under the marquis. This is the best entrance to use since it will take you directly to the ceremony site. Alternatively, you can enter through the West Tupper entrance which will take you to the 500 Pearl hotel lobby, or through the parking garage down an elevator to Forbes Theaters level.
What Guests Should Know About Forbes Theater
Forbes Theater is a rich historical building that's attached to the hotel chain, ALoft, and restaurants such as Fresh Catch and Vice. They have a front desk like any hotel, and a marquee entrance specific to our wedding. If you enter through the restaurants, the front of the hotel, or the marquee, look for the signs that point to our wedding!

What time is the Ceremony? Reception?
Our ceremony will begin promptly at 3:30 pm, so please be seated early to get a good view!
Cocktail hour is between 4:00 pm and 5:00 pm down the hall from the ceremony.
Our reception will take place at 5:00 pm, followed by dancing. Make sure you grab your seat assignments during cocktail hour!
What should I expect after the ceremony?
Please join us down the hall for cocktail hour! Here, you will find your table seating and be able to mingle with other guests. There will be signs to direct you to the event space where you can enjoy hors d'oeuvres and drinks at the WXYZ bar. The ceremony area will do a quick change into our reception and dining area, so please give the staff the space they need to transform the room.
Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?
The ceremony and reception will take place in Forbes theater. There is an outdoor 'smoking section' that will be available for use that's quite large and a great area to cool off after dancing!
What should I wear?
We'd love to see our family and friends dress up with us! Our wedding will be in Buffalo in September. We know it can get hot while the sun is up and chillier at night, so feel free to bring a jacket! We recommend something you're comfortable in - button up shirts, flowy dresses, etc. We encourage formal to semi formal wear - whatever you can dance the best in! No jeans, t-shirts, sneakers, or white, please.
Can I bring a date?
Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited to your wedding invitation. If you received a plus one they would appear under your name when you RSVP.
Can we bring our children?
Invitations will be specific and will include the names of the children who are invited. However, we encourage you to use this evening as a "date night" for yourself!
Can I take and post pictures of your wedding on social media?
We will be having a phone-free ceremony. We've hired wonderful photographers and videographers to capture the ceremony. During the reception you can take and post as many as you'd like! Don't forget to tag us in them!
Will there be transportation to the venue? How about parking?
There is a 5 floor parking garage inside our venue that all guests are welcome to use! You will receive a parking pass that will give you access to the spot all night, free of charge. There is also parking down the street on Franklin Street (305 Franklin Street Parking) where you pay at a kiosk on the app ParkMobile. Street parking in the city of Buffalo is free on the weekends, so feel free to park wherever as well!
We do encourage ridesharing if you live locally!
How do I RSVP?
You can RSVP on this website under the RSVP tab!
Is there an RSVP deadline?
Yes - July 31st! If you don't RSVP by then, Julia will get super annoying.
What happens if I do not RSVP in time?
If we do not get an RSVP back by the date in which we provided, it will be marked as a "No." We will miss you celebrating with us, however we have to provide total guest counts to the venue in the timely manner they have given to us and cannot accept late RSVP's due to this. We hope that you understand!
Are the ceremony and reception wheelchair accessible?
They are! 500 Pearl is equipped with elevators to the Forbes theater. You enter through the West Tupper Street entrance and inquire at the hotel lobby.
What type of food and drink will be served? *
There will a cocktail hour between the ceremony and reception, a buffet, and of course dessert! *If you have dietary restrictions, please reach out on your RSVP on the website! You can reach out to the bride and groom as well
Will there be an open bar?
Of course!
Are you registered? Where should we send the gift?
We sure are! You can find more information in the Registry tab on this website! When in doubt, we will graciously accept a cash gift in any form.
If I have a question that I can't find the answer to, what is the best way to reach out?
Text Julia or Tom! The preferred method is texting, then voicemail, then multiple phone calls. Millennials, am I right?
