When do I need to RSVP by?
Please RSVP on our wedding website by October 1, 2025. If something changes from your initial RSVP, please let us know. If you do not RSVP, we will assume you are unable to attend.
What should I wear?
Semi-formal attire will match our vibe best. The wedding will be outside, but covered with a tent and heaters in the event of inclement weather. Reception will be indoors. We realize this is a Halloween wedding, but we ask that you do not wear any type of costume.
What time should I arrive?
Please plan to arrive to Adventures on the Gorge no later than 5:00 PM to allow time for parking and finding a seat.
Are children invited?
We love your kiddos as much as we love you, however we’d love you to use our wedding as a special night out without the kids, unless specified on your invitation.
Can I bring a plus one?
Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate additional guests. Due to limited capacity, we can only accommodate those listed on your invitation.
Where’s the wedding registry?
We have everything we need! The gift of your presence will make us happy enough, however, if you’d like to show us your love with a gift, we will have a honeymoon fund at the reception and on our wedding website.
What’s the bar situation?
There will be a cash bar available during the reception. Beer, seltzers, wine, and liquor will be available.
What lodging is close by?
Adventures on the Gorge has multiple styles of cabins for rent, as well as glamping tents and full RV hook ups, if you prefer to stay on site. They do not “block off” accommodations for events, so if you plan to stay, please book as early as possible. There are also several nice options on Airbnb and VRBO. The closest big name chain hotels are in Beckley, about 30 minutes away. Hawk's Nest State Park lodge is about 20 minutes away. If you plan to drink, please be aware Uber or Lyft is not always readily available in the area, and we hope you choose to stay on property with us.
