It all began in 2018 at the Bellevue Club, where they first officially met, while Juliana was in the middle of a workout. Josh couldn’t help but approach Juliana mid-sweat session to ask for her phone number. Juliana couldn’t help but be intrigued—and the conversation took off from there. Little did they know, their friends and fellow club members had been playing matchmaker behind the scenes, trying to set them up for months.


A month into getting to know each other, Josh revealed a crazy coincidence: the two had actually crossed paths years earlier, at their freshman year orientation at Washington State University in 2014. Josh had introduced himself and even tried to make a move, though Juliana had no memory of it. The realization that their paths had crossed long before they truly met was both surprising and surreal—proving that some connections are just meant to happen.


Their first time hanging out was with a group of mutual friends, including Sarah Marangon (Juliana’s bridesmaid) and Steven Huber (Josh’s brother-in-law and best man). The group dressed up for Santa Con hit the bars in Seattle for a fun night out. From there, Juliana and Josh were inseparable. Their first official date was a simple yet perfect outing to U- Village for Molly Moon’s ice cream, a shared favorite they enjoy quite frequently.


The first time they knew we were in love was almost immediate. They were in Orondo at Sarah’s parents house for a fun weekend by the river, and Josh turned to Juliana and said, “I know I’m going to spend the rest of my life with you.” Juliana felt the exact same way.


From there, Juliana and Josh were inseparable. Their first official date was a simple yet perfect outing to U Village for Molly Moon’s ice cream, a shared favorite they’d soon come to enjoy time and time again.


At home, they cherish the simple things, too—like cuddling up together to watch our favorite shows, enjoying Sunday football, and spending time with family and friends. Whether it’s a concert, a comedy show, or just a quiet evening inn, they are happiest when they are together.


On June 21, 2024, Josh took their love to an unforgettable new level by proposing in Banff National Park, one of the most beautiful places they have ever been. It was also Juliana’s Matron of Honor, Chloe Bucklin’s birthday weekend, and Josh had secretly asked Chloe & Zach (Chloes husband & groomsman) for their blessing and help. Chloe, who is a talented photographer, had already arranged for a photoshoot with the couples in their group weeks before—making it the perfect setup for the proposal. When Josh got down on one knee, it was a complete surprise to Juliana, and the moment was captured beautifully, all thanks to Chloe! Banff now holds a special place in their hearts, forever tied to the day they promised to spend forever together.


As they begin this next chapter together, they are filled with excitement and gratitude for all the love and adventures they have shared—and the many more to come.
