Getting to Couer d'Alene

Flying into Coeur d'Alene


The nearest major airport to Coeur d'Alene is Spokane International Airport (GEG), located about 40 minutes away in Spokane, Washington. Spokane is a larger airport with multiple flight options from major U.S. cities.


Airport Shuttle/Transportation: The Spokane airport offers rental cars, taxis, Ubers, and shuttle services to Coeur d'Alene. There are also several private shuttle companies that provide group transportation for larger parties.

If you are staying at the Coeur d'Alene Resort, you can book your airport transportation for $90 per person round trip through the hotel concierge.


Driving to Coeur d'Alene: If you’re renting a car, Coeur d'Alene is about a 40-minute drive from Spokane, with scenic views along the way. Follow I-90 W to Coeur d'Alene, and you’ll arrive in no time!


Train Travel: If you prefer to take the train, Amtrak’s Empire Builder route passes through Spokane, and from there, you can rent a car or take a shuttle to Coeur d'Alene.



For Guests Traveling within Washington State

If you're coming from Seattle or the surrounding areas, the drive is around 4.5 to 5 hours.


From Seattle area: Take I-90 E for a straight shot to Coeur d'Alene. Along the way, you'll enjoy beautiful views of the Cascade Mountains and Idaho’s scenic landscape.


From Tri-Cities area: If you're coming from the Tri-Cities (Richland, Kennewick, and Pasco), it's about an 3.5-hour drive to Coeur d'Alene. Take I-82 W to I-90 W for an easy, scenic trip.
