Julie and Jovanny first met as coworkers at Bardonia Physical Therapy in New City, NY. Each shift they worked together, they learned more about the common interests they shared and their mutual love for fitness. They exchanged favorite podcasts, workout tips, recipes and nerded out every chance they got. One day, Jovanny asked Julie to get together for a workout. Julie accepted the invite, but was unsure if it was a date or not. Lots of pull ups were involved. And oh, Spoiler alert: it was a date.

Jovanny and Julie's first Valentine's Day, and Jovanny's first trip to visit Julie in Scranton, PA where she went to PT school. Scranton would become the home to many weekends together over the next few months!

The new couple's first trip to New Hampshire to meet Julie's Dad. From visiting coffee shops to taking walks on the beach, it didn't take long for Jim to see that Jovanny was Julie's perfect match. His calm, gentle demeanor was the perfect compliment to Julie's talkative, high-energy personality. Jovanny's love for dark roast coffee and extra firm handshake earned Jim's stamp of approval.

Julie & Jovanny's first vacation to San Diego, CA. Just before Julie moved to Philadelphia for her summer clinical rotation and Jovanny began pursuing his Bachelor's degree online, they enjoyed a week of adventure and exploring in what would become their favorite vacation to look back on.

Throughout Julie & Jovanny's first year together, Jovanny lived in New York while Julie lived in Scranton. Most weekends, Jovanny would come visit Julie from Friday night to Sunday evening. On a rainy day, you could find them hanging in a local coffee shop, doing homework together & dreaming of the future. On a sunny one, you'd find them somewhere outside, exploring a local trail or in this case, picking apples and sunflowers.

Julie graduates from The University of Scranton with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy. Julie and Jovanny begin to explore job opportunities throughout the east coast and eagerly plan for where they were going to move together!

Julie and Jovanny vacation to Ogunquit, ME. They celebrated both of their June birthdays and explored the beautiful New England landscape.

The adventure begins- Julie & Jovanny get the keys to their first apartment in Owings Mills, Maryland. They both accepted new job opportunities and took the leap into a state that was unfamiliar. Despite the discomfort of moving to a place with no familiar faces or places, the couple felt excited and eager for the inevitable growth that was to come!

Trip to Nashville, TN to visit Julie's brother and celebrate his birthday. Suddenly, Jovanny became a country music fan.

2023 was a busy year, so any chance Julie & Jovanny got to unwind and have some fun was well spent. A boat ride in Bethany Beach was a great way to spend a sunny day!

Fall days in New York always hit a little different. Here's one of Julie & Jovanny's favorite spots in Warwick, where Jovanny's family lives.

Ending the year in true Maryland fashion- with a Raven's game!

While visiting Hampton, New Hampshire Jovanny, Julie and Julie's Dad took a morning walk at the beach, just like they do during every visit. Julie stood and watched the sun as it rose over the horizon. After a moment she turned around to look for Jovanny, who was down on one knee. He asked "Julianne, will you marry me?" Queue the waterworks.
