The high elevation in Vail means the air is less oxygen-dense and much drier. We encourage all guests to consume more water than they typically would and to beware that the effects of alcohol will be significantly amplified by altitude.
Guests from lower laying areas who have respiratory issues should consult their medical providers and plan accordingly. You may wish to spend a day or two in Denver to help acclimate to altitude before heading up to Vail.
Canned oxygen is readily available for purchase in Vail, and may be helpful if you are susceptible to or begin feeling the effects of altitude sickness (throbbing headache, nausea, and dizziness are typical early signs, particularly if noticed before Sunday morning).
Black Tie Optional
For gentlemen, a tuxedo or suit in any color is appropriate.
For ladies, a formal dress of any length is appropriate. Note that the chapel is only accessible by walking through Vail Village, so please select footwear accordingly.
Typical weather in Vail in the Summer is highs in the upper 70s. However, evenings typically cool off into the 40s, so ladies may wish to bring a shawl or coat. While Colorado is the sunniest state, we are also prone to afternoon storms in the summer and would suggest bringing a rain coat or umbrella, just in case.
Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate children as part of the festivities. Please plan only for the individuals listed on your invite to attend.
There is child care available in the Vail Valley if you would like to travel with your family.
