Get ready for an amazing tour in the world of organic wine: you will visit one of the oldest organic winery together with a member of the Tili Family who owns the farm who will explain all the process to make a fantastic organic wine. Afterwards, you can taste all the farm products during a guided tasting where you will try 5 different organic wines of Assisi DOC and Umbria IGT. Wines will be paired with warm bruschette with organic extra virgin olive oil, a selection of cheeses and salami with jams, and local biscotti with sweet wine. At the end you will receive a certification of Apprentice Winemaker!

The location of our wedding is intentionally located in one of our favorite areas of Italy. We hope you will be able to take some day trips and beautiful drives to see it! You will be in the heart of Italy's wine country and near towns rich in history, art, and tradition. Here are a few of our suggestions:

Florence (2 hours away) - The birthplace of the Renaissance and the epicenter of Italy's masterpieces of art and architecture.

Montepulciano (1 hour away) - Built on the top of a hill overlooking rolling acres of vineyards, Montepulciano is known for it's wine, pork, cheese, and "pici" pasta.

Cortona (45 minutes away) - Made famous in the movie, "Under the Tuscan Sun", Cortona is a charming town with winding cobblestone streets and panoramic views of the surrounding countryside.

Chianti (2 hours away) - The drive alone in this area is spectacular. Castellina in Chianti is a fortress-like castle with winding cobblestone streets, and quaint shops and restaurants.

Siena (1.5 hours away) - A medieval town known for it's historic piazza, now a UNESCO world heritage site, is an easy day trip.

See the highlights of Assisi on a 3-hour walking tour with a knowledgeable local guide. Visit the stunning UNESCO World Heritage-listed Basilica di San Francesco (Basilica of Saint Francis of Assisi), the Duomo di San Rufino, the Basilica di Santa Chiara (St Claire) and the lovely main square, Piazza del Comune. Enjoy clear views of the massive 14th-century fort, Rocca Maggiore, which sits on top of the hill. As you walk with your guide, hear about the history and cultural treasures of Assisi.

There are several nearby choices for riding stables some of which have week long overnight excursions via horseback. This one has 1.5 hour to 3 hour rides.
