Kenny asked Julie's father for her hand in marriage the minute they landed for Thanksgiving—quite literally! He couldn't even wait until they got to the house, asking for permission while she was in the bathroom trying to scrub pizza sauce out of her pants. During this meeting, her father casually reminded Kenny that if something happened, he'd have to deal with his daughter, Bailey, and then him. While Julie's siblings placed bets on whether it would happen during their visit, Kenny chose her favorite holiday—New Year's Eve, and her first one away from home. That day, he practiced his speech (which he swore would be impromptu because he's too cool and never gets nervous). And by practice, I mean full-on rehearsal, down on one knee in his dress pants, over and over again. Only one problem—he practiced on carpet. When he got down on one knee for the real deal, it was on tile. If you watch the video, you'll see Julie taking a very long time picking out props for their photo!
