Tiff was the mutual friend that put the gears in motion for Julie and Josh's meeting. She spent many of her formative years in Bemidji, MN and attended high school with Josh. Julie, on the other hand, met her through college friends and moved from St. Paul to Minneapolis when a spot opened up in Tiff's shared house.Tiff currently lives in Los Angeles, CA and works on sets and bikes in Hollywood.

Rachel is one of Julie's oldest college friends. They met before classes started as first years on Doty 2 (an all-girls dorm), and shared two other off-campus living situations after that. She is also one of the only people who has remained a steadfast vegetarian since before college. Although she originally hails from San Francisco, Rachel has been in Chicago and Madison for the past few years doing research and attaining a master's degree in psychology. She is now working on her PhD and lives in Madison, WI.

Tasia and Julie met when Julie moved into the Veggie Co-op in early 2005. Due to Tasia's ability to cook delicious food, thrive in cooperative living situations, and tolerate messes, they became good friends as well as roommates. Tasia just graduated with a master's degree in public health and lives in Brooklyn, NY.

Beth and Julie met because they both wanted the same job... and they both got it, kind of. Their area manager decided to let them co-manage the Uptown Running Room. They became friends outside of work and now live within a few miles of each other in Minneapolis. Julie was a part of Beth and husband Willy's wedding in 2013.
