First Date and Our Love Story

Picture of First Date and Our Love Story

Our story would never have begun without the persistency of Andy. On November 27, 2017, my friend (Rose) swiped on JSwipe a guy that I never thought would be my forever love. On November 28, 2017, Andy and I matched. At first we only spoke on the app, and then texted. After messaging each other for around an hour or so, Andy called me on the phone and that's where it all started. That first night, we spoke on the phone for almost two hours, followed by another three and a half hours while Julie drove down to Hershey, PA for a week to visit her friend Megan. The conversation was deep, fun, interesting, and showed them both how similar they actually were. That night, they learned so much about each other, which continued through the time Julie was in Hershey. If it wasn't for Andy's persistency while Julie was in Hershey (he would send 15 text messages in a row, push to video chat and talk on the phone - today, Julie is incredibly happy that Andy did this), we may have not been engaged today. From then on, they never stopped talking (and i mean never stopped!).

On December 6, 2017, Andy and Julie went on their first date ice skating in Central Park. What an interesting date this was... Trump was plastered all around the ice rink; Andy was cursing him and apologizing for taking me to a place owned by Trump. This night consistent of lots of laughter. Julie learned that Andy did not know how to tie ice skate, learned what Andy's butt looked like (Andy showed some crack that night), and learned how random Andy was, he also randomly hugged a random British guy. Andy saw Julie slip on the ice and Andy followed to fall right on top of her. We also learned how much Andy was already in love with Julie. On this day, Andy asked Julie if she would like to be exclusive. This was shocking, but did not put fear in her eyes (Julie was only thinking about all the other dates she had scheduled for the remainder of the week). In fact, this was a sign that Julie was into Andy and wanted to continue the conversation. Following their ice-skating adventure, Andy and Julie went for a long walk to 96th street (if you don't know that is at least 40 blocks from Central Park). Along this walk, they had some crepes and had a lot of fun. They saw each other‘s personalities and truly understood how similar they were. It was only shortly their after that they decided to become exclusive (on December 18, 2017) and fell in love after 2 weeks Andy told Julie that he loved her and Julie told Andy that she loved him after her shoulder surgery around February 11, 2018). Only 10 months later, on October 7, 2018, Andy got on one knee and proposed marriage (need to specify as Andy got on one knee about two other times - 1. to be his girlfriend and 2. to promise that he will marry me with a promise ring on July 19, 2018). We both can’t wait to see how our adventures continue to develop.
