Despite having lived less than a 2 minute walk from one another their entire lives, Liz and Julie did not meet until Freshmen year at La Jolla High School! They became best friends in college and after graduating spent time as roommates in their hometown of South Mission Beach and North Park! Liz can be credited with helping Julie muster up the courage to respond to Mike's first text message and go on their first official date! Julie admires Liz for her adventurous spirit and would not be who she is today without her. Liz is currently a Resilience Planner and finishing her Masters in Environmental Science and Planning!
Little sister of the bride, Jojo and Julie grew up bonding over Harry Potter books and Gwen Stefani. Julie frequently goes shopping in Jojo's closet for the latest fashion trends and relies on her as her personal makeup artist. Jojo is currently a Senior in college majoring in Mechanical Engineering at LMU. Julie can't wait to have her little sister home in San Diego after she graduates this May!
Big sister of the bride, Marie and Julie have both found a love for education, travel, and their dogs! Educating on opposite sides of the spectrum, Julie could never imagine teaching adults, while Marie could never imagine teaching elementary kids. Marie is currently working towards her PHD in English in Pennsylvania but when she is home in San Diego you can be sure to find her and Julie hanging out at the beach with or without Hiro and Bella!
Elena and Julie met Freshmen year of high school and spent countless hours together taking pictures as part of the high school yearbook and doing their most favorite thing, eating! As adults, they have perfected their selfie taking skills and are frequently found on the couch with pizza, thai food, and wine for ladies nights. After high school, Elena attended the University of Michigan and now works as a Planner for the city of San Diego.
Sydney and Julie truly became friends freshmen year of high school when they met at volleyball tryouts! However, most people do not know that they actually played soccer together when they were about 5 years old. Despite not living in the same city anymore, Sydney and Julie have always maintained a close friendship filled with hour long phone conversations. Sydney now resides with her husband just outside of Monterey Bay, CA but when visiting San Diego you can be sure to find her and Julie at Don Carlos for burritos or visiting one anothers families!
Mackenzie and Julie met in college while attending California Lutheran University after realizing they were both from San Diego. They bonded over many hours of driving up and down the 405 telling stories about Julie's crazy roommates. Mackenzie kicked off Mike and Julie's traveling adventures by inviting them snowboarding in Colorado after only a few months of dating. They now spend many hours driving to and from Temecula for wine tastings! Mackenzie frequently entertains Mike and Julie with dream home showings in San Diego and is excited for the day they actually buy one.
Andrea and Julie met in 7th grade at All Hallows Academy! They are each others oldest friend. After countless sleepovers in middle school, they now have lazy ladies nights when Andrea is not working the night shift as an ICU Nurse in San Diego or visiting her husband in Tennessee. Over the years they have both seen several boyfriends come and go and they are so excited to see each other finally find THE ONE!
Dane & Mike met on the first day of college when Mike walked by Dane's dorm room and heard him listening to some sweet jams. Over the next few years they would make some sweet jams of their own while living together with some interesting individuals. After college they began moving on in their careers and building their lives but always keep in close touch. Dane and Mike are the brothers they each never had and Mike would not be who he is today if not for Dane.
Dane now lives with his beautiful wife, son and daughter in the suburbs of Philadelphia and works for the William Penn Foundation in Center City.
Tristan and Mike go way back to middle school, where Tristan talked Mike into picking up a guitar to play at the talent show. They never made the talent show, but instead formed a band the likes of which have never been seen. Tristan and Mike broke up for a short while in the early years at Drexel, only to be reunited in the most triumphant of fashions, the formation of another band. Although their adventures have slowed down recently, there are many more to be had!
Tristan now lives with his beautiful wife and baby daughter in the suburbs of Atlanta, where Tristan has developed an odd southern accent. Working for Georgia Power while writing his trilogy, Tristan constantly seeks to better life for his family.
Kevin and Mike met in the way all great friends meet, through an ad on craigslist. After living together only for a short while, it became evident that their friendship would last a long time. Mike taught Kevin how to play guitar, then Kevin went on to graduate from Berkley College of Music. Though they've lived distantly apart for many years, Kevin and Mike keep in close touch and manage to visit each other occasionally on opposite sides of the country.
Kevin now lives in Brooklyn and spends most of his time with his sister and baby nephew. Working full time as a woodworker and creating music as his passion, Kevin is a source of happiness and inspiration for everyone around him.
Mike and Brandon became friends thanks to professors in the Music Industry program at Drexel only assigning group projects in alphabetical order of last names. After crushing all of these group projects with their rock, the duo realized their potential for greatness was much higher. Many parties and evenings of Mario Party have since passed with occasional trips to the Poconos thrown in the mix. Only one thing is for sure at this point, there are still many more adventures to come!
Brandon now lives in his own tri-plex in Jersey City with his newlywed wife and recently matriculated to law school at Fordham, Brandon continues to hone his appetite for success.
Sam is Mike's oldest friend, they met in math class in 6th grade where they bonded over cartoons and video games. Sam's emanating creativity is one of the originating sources of Mike's appreciation for beauty in the world and he continues to be an inspiration. After making the greatest decision of their lives (moving to Southern California), Sam and his wife Kali managed to make a beautiful place only more beautiful.
Sam and Kali now live in Los Angeles and both continue to develop successful careers in illustration and writing.
Frequently mistaken as brothers and forcibly referring to each other by their last names, Stumpo and Rufo met in college and bonded over being Italian AF. Seen here distinguish one another by their arms, Stumpo was the first friend to visit Rufo when he moved to San Diego and it did not take long for him to find a new life in San Francisco. The Mikes get together for high profile events such as weddings, engagement celebrations, fireworks displays on the streets of Chinatown and scuba diving.
Stumpo has been climbing the ladder at Uber for a few years now and is likely to be found traveling in any city on the planet at any time.
Eric and Mike became close friends in high school, where they bonded over sports, video games and junk food. While they grew apart during the college years, fate brought them back together as they both independently settled down in San Diego. Now living within walking distance apart, Eric and Mike mostly spend their time bonding over sports, video games and junk food. Oh, and beer.
Eric lives with his wife Juli (also a friend from Radnor) and teaches physical education on Coronado Island.
Nicole and Michael go back to the beginning, where she terrorized him and taught him that life wasn't fair. After the sibling rivals managed to make it through into adulthood, Nicole has now become one of Michael's most trusted confidants and supportive figures in all the world. As she and Julie get to know each other more and more every year, Julie and Michael are honored to have Nicole officiate their wedding.
