Our story began in the stars. Juliet and Matthew's paths would casually cross a few times in the months leading up to their first face-to-face interaction in October of 2022. The universe would unite them again in January of 2023. The connection was immediate, genuine, and like no other either had ever known. Our first date was at Oku Sushi on the 19th of January. We immediately realized that our principals, morals, and values aligned. We were inseparable from that day forward.

On a beautiful Sunday morning, we began our day enjoying couples massages at the beautiful Ponte Vedra Inn and Spa Resort. Matthew told Juliet the plan for the day was to re-create our first 3 dates by ordering appetizers at each restaurant we visited. He was sure she wouldn't be suspicious as "restaurant hopping" is something we frequently enjoy. We even re-created our first kiss.

Now before the story can continue, the backstory must be shared.

Coincidentally, the San Marco Square became "our spot" since the restaurants we chose were always located there. After our second date, we learned that the old San Marco theater was closing and they were allowing people to write a note or memory on a post-it and place it in the marquee sign. Matthew asked Juliet for a third date on a post-it and placed in in the marquee. She agreed, of course. Just a few short months later, Matthew and Juliet would revisit the marquee after a dinner date to find their notes to each other. We wrote new notes and placed them in the marquee. Matthew's note said, "Juliet, I will change your last name."

Now, back to the story.

We just visited the second location of recreating our dates, walking to the next restaurant. Our walk would lead us to a rose pedal lined sidewalk which brought us to the famous marquee. The marquee read, "I told you so," with the lyrics to Juliet's favorite song, "La Vie en Rose" by Louis Armstrong. Before Juliet could finish reading the sign, the beautiful bellow of a trumpet began playing from the park square across the street. The song: La Vie en Rose.

Juliet and Matthew walked hand-in-hand towards the gazebo, where Matthew's children met them with the ring. The three proposed to Juliet together. Immediately after Juliet accepted, our families appeared from behind the fountain to celebrate our union with us while the trumpet player would serenade, "What A Wonderful World." We then all enjoyed a beautiful family meal together.
