Alaina is Kadi's only sister. She is currently a junior at Olathe Northwest High School and is the talented child of the family. Alaina is always an encourager and knows exactly what advice to give when Kadi is feeling down. Alaina and Kadi bond over making silly music videos, sharing their top-secret writing, and talking about life.

Joanie and Kadi have been kind-of friends since high school, and best friends since the middle of college. Joanie is the funniest person that Kadi knows, and is always up for an adventure in KC (or an attempted adventure, at least). Joanie and Kadi have their own text language, send each other Office snapchats, and refuse to hug, as only the best of friends do.

Tamara lives in Berlin, Germany and was an exchange student with Kadi's family during her junior year in high school. Kadi chose Tami because she was "the pretty exchange student", but little did she know Tami would become one of her closest friends. Kadi and Tamara travelled to Paris, Prague, Spain, and Germany together a few years back. They bond over both loving attention, dancing silly, and talking about how Christ is working in their lives!

Bethany and Kadi have been friends since Kadi's mom made her invite Bethany over for her 13th birthday party (they were neighbors). The two have a lot of fun together and are always excited to share their hearts with each other. They love to take walks, take blonde/brunette pictures, and talk and laugh about life, and they have been through a lot of it together!

Brianna and Kadi became friends in 2013 when they interned together at Emmanuel Church. They kept each other in check, comforting each other and loosening the other up when things got stressful. They continued their friendship at K-State, and walked together through very tough times, loving and caring for each other the whole way. Brianna and Kadi love to laugh and listen to each other talk about life (Brianna is excellent at this!)

Lindsey and Kadi have been friends since joining cheerleading together in 2nd grade. They have loved each other through every awkward and uncool stage, and somehow came out on the other side. Lindsey always knows where to shop and how to befriend almost anyone in the world, and she is practically an honorary daughter of the Thomsen household. Kadi is blessed to have a friend like Lindsey who has been a loyal friend for so long!
