Though dating since early 2022, Matt and Kaelyn have known each other for over 10 years and have been teaching together at Eisenhower since 2014. Their story began innocently as two colleagues going out for a drink at Eagle Park, thanks to some persistence from Kaelyn, and slowly blossomed into more as they found how much they enjoyed their time together and how much they have in common. While they like to tease each other about their differences in personality, coaching/teaching styles, and music tastes, they have truly bonded over the things that they share. They both love to laugh, they have a big heart for the people they care about, and they prioritize their time to the people and the things that matter most to them. Both Kaelyn and Matt have enjoyed getting to know the others friends and family over these past 2+ years and through them, have found even more to bond over and share. Their unique bond as high school head coaches has created a supportive dynamic that is both rare and special. While Matt is a big Brewers and Packers fan, his favorite team has truly become the Ike Lions softball squad. And while Kaelyn is busy coaching volleyball in the fall, she finds time to back the Lions football team every Friday night no matter the weather. As we get closer to December 14th, Matt and Kaelyn are both truly excited for whatever comes next for both of them and they are anxious to take it on with the other by their side!
