<p>Many&nbsp;people&nbsp;probably&nbsp;don't&nbsp;know&nbsp;that&nbsp;Kaitlin&nbsp;and&nbsp;Mitchell&nbsp;first&nbsp;met&nbsp;as&nbsp;pre-teens&nbsp;in&nbsp;Gulf&nbsp;Shores&nbsp;at&nbsp;a&nbsp;baseball&nbsp;tournament&nbsp;one&nbsp;summer.&nbsp;Mitchell&nbsp;and&nbsp;Kaitlin's&nbsp;cousin&nbsp;played&nbsp;on&nbsp;the&nbsp;same&nbsp;team.&nbsp;She&nbsp;got&nbsp;to&nbsp;witness&nbsp;his&nbsp;very&nbsp;first&nbsp;home&nbsp;run.&nbsp;😏<br>Fast&nbsp;forward&nbsp;to&nbsp;2016,&nbsp;when&nbsp;their&nbsp;love&nbsp;story&nbsp;really&nbsp;began.&nbsp;Kaitlin&nbsp;and&nbsp;Mitchell&nbsp;reconnected&nbsp;through&nbsp;Facebook&nbsp;and&nbsp;began&nbsp;texting&nbsp;as&nbsp;friends.&nbsp;They&nbsp;got&nbsp;to&nbsp;know&nbsp;each&nbsp;other&nbsp;for&nbsp;a&nbsp;couple&nbsp;of&nbsp;months&nbsp;and&nbsp;finally&nbsp;hung&nbsp;out&nbsp;on&nbsp;NYE,&nbsp;where&nbsp;they&nbsp;ate&nbsp;their&nbsp;first&nbsp;meal&nbsp;together,&nbsp;at&nbsp;Waffle&nbsp;House&nbsp;(Hence&nbsp;the&nbsp;engagement&nbsp;pictures&nbsp;at&nbsp;WH).&nbsp;Two&nbsp;weeks&nbsp;later&nbsp;they&nbsp;were&nbsp;in&nbsp;love&nbsp;(Mitchell&nbsp;said&nbsp;"I&nbsp;love&nbsp;you"&nbsp;first&nbsp;btw),&nbsp;and&nbsp;the&nbsp;rest&nbsp;is&nbsp;pretty&nbsp;much&nbsp;history!&nbsp;<br>6&nbsp;years&nbsp;down,&nbsp;forever&nbsp;to&nbsp;go.&nbsp;💓</p>

The hotel is less than a mile from Hammond's beautiful downtown Historic District, leading you to the campus of Southeastern Louisiana University.
