From junior high crushes, to high school graduation, to now standing at the altar, Kaitlin and Kyle have a long history.

Kaitlin and Kyle both attended Sherwood Heights Junior High School and Salisbury Composite High School, as did much of their wedding party. And yes, Kaitlin had a crush on Kyle in grade 8, but he didn’t know it (more on this later). Kaitlin and Kyle stayed friends from that time on and all throughout high school. They had many of the same classes together, and were even lab partners in Biology 30. During this entire time, their friend groups were oddly but conveniently intertwined.

In grade 12, on the bus home from a school basketball tournament, one of Kaitlin's best friends (refer to "Wedding Party" page to find out who) shared Kaitlin's past crush with Kyle and he acted on it. Kyle asked Kaitlin to be his girlfriend on May 1, 2019 while the two were playing racquetball together, and that is where their love story began!

After 3.5 years of many adventures, memories, and a brief period of long-distance (only 3.5 months c'mon), Kyle decided to pop the question on a chilly -30° day while skiing the Sun Bowl at Panorama Mountain. That place will forever be one of their faves!
