Alysha is Kaitlin's younger sister and only sibling. Alysha and Kaitlin have walked through life on a very similar path, both playing soccer for their entire youth and enduring nursing school together (well, 2 years apart). They have been so lucky to travel to many different places together as a family, from Hawaii and Mexico to Florida and Las Vegas. They grew up camping, skiing, and watching each other play soccer for many MANY hours... some memories that they are so thankful for! They are clothe-sharers, avid arguers (aren't most sisters?), and best friends. It will be the most special for Alysha to stand closest to Kaitlin on July 6th.

Jacob and Kyle have been hanging out since Kyle’s day one when Jacob was 3. They are different in some ways but both have inherited some “Irv” tendencies such as fantastic cooking skills (haha)! In all seriousness, Jacob and Kyle are both driven to succeed & have always pushed each other in this way. They were lucky enough to explore many beautiful places when they were younger thanks to their parents & will cherish the memories from those trips forever. Ever since the engagement, Jacob has already been calling Kaitlin his sister. Jacob is excited to be Kyle’s Best Man on July 6!!!

Sara is Kaitlin's only female cousin, therefore they were bound to have a close relationship. Though 3 years apart, Kaitlin and Sara have always been close. They can thank their families for spending astronomical amounts of time together as they grew up! From many trips to Hawaii, to camping at the farm, to swimming in Shuswap Lake, Kaitlin and Sara share so many special memories. It was a no-brainer that Sara would stand by Kaitlin's side on her wedding day!

Mike is Kyle’s oldest brother. Something they enjoy doing together is skiing at Panorama mountain. The last few years the Godina family has went on wonderful trips to Panorama where they stayed at Kaitlin’s aunt Liz and uncle Darcy Pretula’s place at the hill. That place is full of great memories! One of Mike’s biggest hobbies is collecting Pokémon cards where he has quite an impressive collection. Mike and his girlfriend Olivia are expecting their first child in May this year! Kaitlin is OVER THE MOON excited to be an auntie.

Emily and Kaitlin's friendship dates back to Junior High School at Sherwood Heights. In addition to attending the same schools, Emily and Kaitlin also played on the same soccer team for many many years... they spent a lot of time together. Emily remains one of Kaitlin's best friends to this day. The two have travelled many places together and share an abundance of memories. Out of everyone, Emily has known BOTH Kaitlin and Kyle for the longest amount of time. Some may even call her the "matchmaker" since she sparked their dating relationship in grade 12! This makes Emily the perfect bridesmaid and MC.

Jayden and Kyle have been friends longer then either of them can remember. For many years, Jayden and Kyle have made countless trips to Cineplex and now Landmark for movie nights. They enjoy talking about current events and playing any sort of game together, whether that’s a sport, board or video game. Kyle and Kaitlin have become close friends with Jayden and his wife Juliette recently and look forward to growing that friendship. Kyle was in Jayden’s wedding party in the Russell’s wedding of April 2023, now he gets to return the favour.

Hallie and Kaitlin began their beautiful friendship in their grade 11 year at Salisbury High School. It's a small world though, because Hallie and Kaitlin both played on the same soccer team when they were 9 years old! Now, Hallie and Kaitlin love to plans trips together and travel, and they share a deep love for the mountains and all that they have to offer (some may even call them "granola"?!). Hallie is the best adventure partner, most intentional friend, and a super fun memory-maker.

Cole and Kyle have been friends since a young age. They have always enjoyed playing board games or watching the Oilers and NFL football. Cole and Kyle even attended an NFL game together in Seattle where Kyle’s Arizona Cardinals were victorious over the Seattle Seahawks. They always enjoy a good conversion about current events, or sports. Cole is adventurous & enjoys seeing new places like when he completed humanitarian work in Tanzania, Africa (even if it means him catching malaria).

Though sharing the same friends for many years, Kaitlin and Mya sparked their friendship in their grade 11 year at Salisbury High School. Mya is probably one of the most loving and fun people that you will ever meet, and somehow she shares a similar sense of humour with Kyle (weird?!). Arguably the most talented person, Mya spends her summers roping at rodeos and her winters dog sled racing. Kaitlin brags about her often! Kaitlin and Mya share so many fun memories, most that are intertwined with their many travels together.

Matt and Kyle first locked eyes in a University of Alberta organic chemistry zoom breakout room. Its been a lot of fun & laughs since that short time a few years ago. They have persevered through their Chemical Engineering degrees together & are convocating 2 weeks before the wedding! Matt is a man of many talents including smelting metal, bee keeping, making cider, and singing. His outgoing & energetic nature make him a great MC!

A long-time family friend of the Godina’s, some may call Olivia a “cousin of” or “the closest thing that Kyle has to a sister”. Kaitlin and Olivia had an instantaneous friendship and share so many passions. Despite Olivia living in Houston, Kaitlin and Olivia’s FaceTime calls pick up exactly where they left off! Olivia knows both Kaitlin and Kyle so deeply, and is such an important person in both of their lives.

Caleb and Kyle’s friendship goes way back to pre-school in their earlier days. They have grown up together & shared many great memories. For example, Caleb and Kyle had lots of fun at the Bunting family’s cabin & boat at Sylvan Lake. Whether that was eating the BEST crispy chicken at LOKAL or just relaxing by the water, they always had a great time. Caleb was also instrumental to Kyle creating a hip-hop music album at the end of high school.

Kaitlin was first introduced to Kira through Kira’s husband Cole, who has been a lifelong friend of Kyle. They will let the boys take credit for this friendship! Kira is the most sweet and thoughtful friend. She is a fabulous baker and cook, and even has her own baking business Park Pastries. In November 2022 Kaitlin got to be a member of Kira's bridal party, and now they get to flip roles!

Cole and Kyle met through family friends at a young age. In the last few years Cole and Kyle bonded over tennis, ping pong, squash, and pickleball where Cole is consistently beat (haha)! They love to compete against each other, in case you couldn’t already tell. In November 2022, Kyle was in Cole’s wedding party and now Cole gets to return the honour. Cole and Kyle’s friendship has evolved to include their lovely ladies and they have grown to become best couple friends!
