Are children welcome?
Yes! Children are invited and will be welcome at all events. The reception is on the beach so kids will have ample space to run around and play! The hotel offers discounted all-inclusive rates for children staying in their parents rooms - see the Resort & Travel page for more information. Children under 5 are free.
For older children and teens, there is also a Fun Lab Teens Club open daily from 3 pm - 10 pm. The Fun Lab has peso-operated games, including billiards, foosball, air hockey, arcade games and the latest edition of PlayStation. They can share a soda, pizza, or anything else from the selection of classic party foods available, all of which are free if guests are all-inclusive.
The property also has a children's pool that is perfect for younger kids and which is within feet of an all ages pool with a swim up bar. There is also a kid's club adjacent to the children's pool.
Do I need to book my room at the resort where the wedding held?
We request that all guests plan to stay on property at Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach. It is a stunning property and we want you close by!
In addition, wedding weekend events will take place Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings and therefore staying off property will involve multiple trips to the resort, some of which will be late at night when taxi service can be harder to come by (and Ubers are allowed to drop off but not pick up at many resorts, including Pueblo Bonito). Lastly, due to the resort being an all-inclusive and the number of rooms blocked for our guests, the event pricing assumes that guests are staying on property. Any guests that ultimately decide to stay elsewhere will be requested to reimburse the outside guest fees of approximately $320 per person. This fee includes access to the resort ONLY for wedding events (not a general day pass) for the welcome bonfire on Thursday, rehearsal dinner on Friday, and ceremony/cocktail hour/reception on Saturday. This fee includes meals for the rehearsal and reception (there is no food served at the bonfire) and all-inclusive alcohol at our events all three evenings.
What is the expected attire for the wedding and reception?
Resort casual or semi-formal. This means shorts and flip flops are welcome! Think maxi dresses, Hawaiian shirts, button down shirts, polos, sandals - beachy and comfortable, but stylish. The wedding ceremony will be a Catholic mass held in a chapel, therefore out of respect for the sacred nature of the ceremony, please refrain from wearing revealing clothing or bring a wrap, shawl, or sweater.
What is the expected attire for the welcome bonfire and rehearsal dinner?
The Welcome Bonfire is casual. The Rehearsal Dinner is resort casual, such as Hawaiian shirts, polos, shorts, long or short dresses, sandals - beachy and comfortable, but stylish.

When should I plan to arrive in Cabo?
Please plan to arrive in Cabo on Thursday, October 23rd. You may arrive earlier if you wish to extend your stay - the resort will honor the special rate we have negotiated from October 18th to October 31st.
When should I plan to travel home?
Plan to travel home on Sunday, October 26th. You may stay beyond that date if you wish to extend your stay - the resort will honor the special rate we have negotiated from October 18th to October 31st. Ian and Kaitlyn will remain in Cabo until October 29th when they leave for their honeymoon in Puerto Vallarta!
I'm not Catholic - should I attend the wedding mass?
Yes! All are welcome to attend and we appreciate you being a part of this sacred moment in our lives. However only Catholics should come forward to receive communion (bread & wine) during the mass - alternatively, non-Catholics or Catholics who have not received their first communion are welcome to approach with their arms folded across their chest to receive a blessing in lieu of communion or may remain seated during communion.
Do you have a gift registry?
No - your presence is enough of a present to us!
But for those of you who are stubborn, we've put together a honeymoon fund in lieu of a registry. See the "Registry" page on this website. Thank you for helping us celebrate our marriage during our honeymoon in Puerto Vallarta!
We kindly ask that no gifts be brought to Cabo, as getting items home by airplane will be logistically challenging and may be subject to import duties.
