Formal Attire
For our summer Tuscan wedding, the second ceremony and following reception will take place outdoors and summer in Italy is warm. We suggest that men wear a lightweight suit of any color and women wear floor length, midi, or cocktail dresses.
Footwear Note:
As we celebrate our wedding in beautiful Italy, please be mindful of the different terrains you'll encounter. We recommend wearing comfortable shoes suitable for cobblestone, grass, and gravel at the venues.
Attire Note:
As a gentle reminder, out of respect for the church during the first ceremony, kindly ensure shoulders are appropriately covered. For those who may need a shawl or wrap to cover their shoulders, we invite you to bring one with you.
The first ceremony will take place at Chiesa di San Salvatore in Ognissanti located in central Florence, Italy.
Then the second ceremony followed by the reception will take place at Villa Corsini a Mezzomonte.
Villa Corsini a Mezzomonte is approximately a 20 minute drive from the city center of Florence and the church.
Both ceremonies will take place on the wedding day July 10, 2024.
We want to ensure that all our loved ones can be a part of our celebration and understand the significance of both our heritages. If you are able to come celebrate with us in Italy, we invite everyone to join us for both ceremonies.
The first ceremony will take place at Chiesa di San Salvatore in Ognissanti in Florence and will be a traditional Armenian Orthodox ceremony conducted in Armenian, honoring Areen's cultural background and traditions.
The second ceremony will be a symbolic ceremony conducted in English and is intended to follow a more traditional American format. This outdoor ceremony will take place at Villa Corsini a Mezzomonte, followed by the reception there.
Under the travel section you will find accommodation recommendations and additional travel info.
Wedding Day
The day of the wedding ceremonies and reception, transportation will be provided from Florence to Villa Corsini. We will also be providing transportation at the end of the reception back to Florence. It is not recommended to drive a rental car around the city of Florence or out to the venue.
