We never would have imagined that we would find each other while living 1000 miles apart. All it took was a mutual friend.

While in Kaitlyn’s 3rd year of residency, Marsha Nahra (one of Kaitlyn’s Attending mentors) had an idea to set Kaitlyn up with her son’s Navy friend, Moe. Kaitlyn and Moe seemed like a good match. Both had a shared interest in medicine. He was a little more interested in being set up than she was. Dr. Nahra facilitated a long distant phone number exchange and the rest is history.

Although Moe and Kaitlyn have been long distance for their entire relationship since July 2019, this hasn’t affected their strong connection one bit. On July 6th at 6:30 am in St. Augustine, Moe and Kaitlyn became engaged. Since then, we have been enjoying every moment we can spend with one another while living 9 hours apart. We are excited to continue integrating our family and friends and we look forward to seeing all of you at our wedding!
