There are wineries everywhere. Take your pick! Check ahead to make sure they accept walk ins (most do). Or make reservations if you can plan ahead to guarantee seating. Most wineries in the foothills are super relaxed vibes and not Napa prices. Check out wineries in Placerville, Fairplay, Plymouth.

If you're feeling fancy, Napa and Sonoma are maybe 1.5 hours west of Sacramento.
