If you're planning on staying a few days before or after the wedding, we highly recommend you check-out Symi. Symi is a beautiful small fishing town that is a 1-hour ferry boat from Rhodes. The ferry leaves daily from Rhodes Old Port (weather dependent). We suggest you take the early morning ferry. You can purchase your tickets online or at the dock. If you're driving, you can park directly at the ferry docks.

Once you're there you will get to enjoy the charm of a quiet town with delicious restaurants and untouched non-touristic beaches (the beaches are deserted!)

Rhodes old town is an open-air museum that is a UNESCO World Heritage site. As you walk through you see the rise and fall of empires and ancient civilization.

If you're a history buff, we highly recommend taking a guided tour. If not, enjoy the walled city for great food and shopping.
