City and Country really do mix!

Picture of City and Country really do mix!
We met on Bumble in Sept of 2020 when Kara was living in Maryville, TN. Wendy was taken over with Kara’s southern charm. Even though we had a long distance it did not get in the way of our love story ❤️

Wendy’s story

I met Kara on Bumble in Sept of 2020. I saw her profile and could tell she was outdoorsy and loved nature. Plus she has a beautiful smile. I quickly realized that she was living in TN. And thought to myself wow! That is kind of far from Jax, FL! I didn’t think my settings on the app were set that far away but either way I wanted to get to know her. The rest is history. Our conversations on Bumble lasted hours and I would have butterflies whenever her name popped up that she sent a new message. Talking to Kara was and still is the best part of my day. Soon after our long chats and getting to know each other, these text conversations moved to FaceTime dates. We could spend all day together on the phone and FaceTime and it was still not enough time to be together. After a few months of our FaceTime dates of getting to know each other ( Kara created the best index card questions 😘) I just went ahead and booked my flight to TN to spend the weekend with her in person. The connection I have with her is unlike anything I had ever felt before and was able to just be myself. When I got off the plane with my luggage and saw Kara for the first time, she showed me her hometown. I instantly knew and felt in my heart that she is the only one I want to spend forever with and how lucky am I that I found this amazing person. Kara made me feel so comfortable as soon as we met that any nerves I had left right away and we continued our conversations the same as we were through our FaceTime dates. Fast forward to several trips back and forth between FL and TN , a few months staying in TN with Kara, and then Kara packing up her life to start a new one with me in FL. I am beyond happy that I get to marry my best friend and love of my life.

Kara’s Story

I met Wendy on Bumble on September 7th 2020. I am not quite sure if I swiped on her first or not but regardless I thought she was cute and was interested in me. I saw on her profile that she was in Jacksonville FL and was surprised that fit with my App location settings. I had to double check and low an behold it was away out of the range I previously had my settings on. That was fate! As the days went on, I found myself really intrigued by our conversations. The genuine connection we had was 🔥. My heart would jump everytime I saw her name pop across my screen when she would message on the App. I was coaching soccer at the time and in between halves, I would send her pictures or a text. A little over a month, this women whom I met became my best friend. One night Wendy said, “why don’t I come visit.” The test came. Will our connection via texts, phone calls, and FaceTimes really be the same in real life. The answer was yes, although at the airport she said she would be in comfy clothes so I threw on my Heritage Soccer dri-fit shirt and khaki shorts. Yeah she showed up looking all nice and I felt silly but I should have known then it wouldn’t matter what I looked or wore, she saw me for me. Wendy got thrown into the off road test, being from East Tennessee the mountains are our the life blood here. I took her to Cades Cove and she passed just barely on my unmarked hike. This was something I could work with 😉. November 13 2020 we danced to ‘Lover’ by Taylor Swift featuring Shawn Mendes out by the patio light in Jacksonville and she said yes to being my girlfriend. At that point I knew that this was something I had never ever experienced and that she was my forever. She was worth everything and this is only the beginning of our love story.
