K-I liked his smile, it made me think of someone that was calm, kind, confident, and comfortable existing in his own skin.

A-There was an ease to our conversation. Kara was fun and funny.

K-On our first date we played a Game of Thrones trivia game.

A-I knew right away I wanted to go on a 2nd date with her so I asked her for a second date before the first date was even over.

K-It was my 1st second date in a long time.

K-I realized he could be the one when I asked him to take me to the airport and he was actually happy to do it. I didn't know how easy life could be with someone you could rely on to help you and that they would actually be happy to do it.

A-I realized she could be the one when I had a surgery -she was so kind, and supportive and nurturing. She was there for me, no questions asked, and even knew what I needed without me saying a word.

K-Our first 'fight' was when he suggested I wear something that I was not planning to... just to go to my sister's house. But in all fairness, he wanted me to look nice for my surprise 50th birthday party. He's forgiven. Thank you, Georgie.

A-She's glad she listened. It was amusing and frustrating to try to tell her to do something that was for her own good without spoiling the surprise.

We both enjoy a good whiskey or bourbon.

K-I like the flavored whiskey.

A-I like the Rye.

We traveled to Kentucky and Tennessee to follow the Bourbon and Whiskey Trails.

K-He wanted to see Americana and drink whiskey and bourbon.

A-She likes to travel and over-plan every day. Our days were full and long but we got see and do a lot, with achy feet.

K-In beautiful Harrodsburg, Kentucky, of all places, is where he popped the question on gorgeous, serene Harrington Lake at sunset on a dock in the middle of the lake.

Strong bonds between each other's friends and families grew. We saw that we were both surrounded by good people. And, well, birds of a feather...

K-He became my best friend. Al is always calm, always loving, and supportive. My biggest cheerleader. He's my Steady Eddie, my Honey Bunny, and my foot massager.

A-She's my home. I feel comfortable and happy when we are together. She is the best ball buster I know.
