How do I get there?

There are a few options and we know it is a little complicated. So if travel is too much of a burden, we understand if you can't swing it. You can fly to Bradley International/Hartford, Tweed New Haven or Westchester County. Bradley will likely be the cheapest option for airfare. You can take Amtrak or MetroNorth to Bridgeport or New Haven. Of course, you can also drive!

What should I wear?

We want everyone to feel chic but comfortable. Look, we're getting married in a barn so this isn't a time for tuxes and gowns, but we want you feel like a million bucks. We're encouraging "Dressy Casual." According to The Knot "It's a dress code that calls for special event clothing that's trendy, relaxed and comfortable. Think of the dress code as attire that is dressier than what you would wear to work, but not as formal as what you would wear to black-tie or formal events." Jumpsuits, midi/maxi dresses, suits with or without ties -- wear what makes you want to take that memorable IG content. The ceremony is on the grass, so consider leaving your Louboutins at home. We will both be changing into Nikes for the reception, so you're welcome to bring your best shoe game. We are asking guests not to wear shorts or jeans, but feel free to channel your inner Big Kev Fitz and forget your socks!

Can I bring a date?

We have so many people we'd like to join us for the day, so we have been intentional about allowing guests. Please refer to your individual save the date or invitation for your plus one status.

Are my kids invited?

Real talk: we LOVE your kiddos and we know you do too, but we also think you deserve a night to yourselves. The only children who will be in attendance are those in the wedding party. If you need help finding a childcare solution, let Kara know.

Is there transportation to the venue?

We will have a shuttle to the venue, but there is also plenty of parking on site if you prefer to drive.

What about Uber/Lyft?

We don't recommend relying on Uber or Lyft to get to and from the venue. It isn't impossible but it is hard to get rideshares in this area of Connecticut. Plan to take the shuttle or to have a designated driver.

I have a dietary restriction. Can you accomdate?

Of course! We got you! When we send out our formal invitations you'll have the opportunity to share any allergies or restrictions.

This "Save the Date" is fire! Who did it?

Kara's cousin Kyle designed the "Save the Date." If you need any freelance work, he is your guy. Email kodewitt@gmail.com or find him at the wedding!
