We cannot wait to have you there on our special day, to see us get married and celebrate alongside us.
You really do not want to miss this place while you are in town for the wedding. They do a beautiful Cheekwood in Bloom event that is their annual spring event. Very breathtaking! They also have activities for children too. Great for the entire family.
We both have been going here since we were children and have gone on many hikes here together. This park holds a dear place in our hearts. It is Karah's favorite state park in middle TN and a top contender for Sam.
We recommend doing the loop around the lake which has stunning views and you will get some great sightings of some of the woodland creatures like turtles, deer, and birds.
This is a beautiful double-arched bridge that has a scenic overlook. We recommend parking in the gravel parking lot by the bridge and walking it. The views from both sides are stunning. The Natchez Trace Parkway is also a beautiful road for joy riding if you want to take in some gorgeous TN rolling hills.
If you really want to take in Nashville, head to Broadway to be engulfed in the live country music and honky tonks. Be sure to take a walk along the pedestrian bridge and go to fifth and broad for some great food and fun shopping.
The Parthenon stands proudly as the centerpiece of Centennial Park. The building and the Athena statue are both full-scale replicas of the Athenian originals. Originally built for Tennessee's 1897 Centennial Exposition, this exact-size replica (the world's only one) of the Parthenon in Athens, Greece serves as a monument to what is considered the pinnacle of classical architecture.
When Tennessee celebrated its 100th year of statehood with the Tennessee Centennial Exposition, Nashville took advantage of its nickname “Athens of the South” and built the Fine Art Building as a copy of Athens' most famous building and the epitome of Greek classical architecture.
If you want to have a taste of some Nashville chicken... this is the place to go! Locals argue over whether Hattie B's or Princes chicken is better.. we both agree that Hattie B's is the winner. There are four locations to choose from in Nashville. We recommend getting there early because of the wait. Think twice before getting the 'shut the cluck up' and be sure to get the peach cobbler for dessert!
This is Karah's favorite burger place in middle TN. Be sure to order an orange creamsicle with a burger and fry! You can also get a burger from The Pharmacy inside the food court on Fifth and Broad but... the real brick and mortar does it best.
This is Sam's favorite Indian restaurant of all time! Anytime we go back to TN we have to come here for a taste of home.
If you love breakfast and pancakes... this place has your name all over it! We recommend getting their super early or else you will be in a very long line waiting to be seated.
A must go to if you have children.
