Dalhousie was built in the 13th century by the Ramsay Clan. Back in these days, our guests would have arrived and been greeted with swords and suits of armour, and they’d enter by crossing a drawbridge over a deep dry moat.

Over 850 years later, the moat remains today, and you can still see the holes where the beams for the drawbridge mechanism were above the main door.

The history of this castle is unmatched, and we can't wait for you to enjoy it us in 2024!
