Karla and Jake had circled around the same friend group since high school, but it wasn’t until late 2019 that they finally met. When the time came, all it took was motorcycles, a game of pool, and a puppy named Cheeto to bring them together. Their first date wasn’t dinner and a movie—it was riding side by side through the Tucson desert, helmets on and Sena's dialed in.

From that day forward, things just clicked. Their families hit it off instantly, and only a few months later Jake set the bar high with their first Valentine’s Day: a surprise trip to Disneyland!

Since then, life together has been full of adventures—camping trips, Spartan races, moving in together, raising two puppies- Obi & Doc- and cheering each other on as they chased big dreams. Jake earning his Mining Engineering degree from one of the top mining schools in the U.S., and Karla worked her way up from Massage Therapist to now the innovation specialist for the nation’s largest massage & skin care franchise. Somewhere along the way, they became not just a couple, but a team.

And then came Christmas 2023... With family watching, Jake pulled off the ultimate surprise by hiding a ring in Karla’s final Spongebob gift. She said yes!
