While the baraat will take place outdoors at PPG Place Plaza, the ceremony and reception will take place indoors at the PPG Wintergarden.

The baraat is a wedding procession where the groom travels to the venue on the day of the wedding on a white mare accompanied with his family and friends celebrating along the way with song and dance.

A block of rooms have been reserved at the Fairmont Pittsburgh and Wyndham Grand Pittsburgh Downtown. To take advantage of the discounted rates, reservations must be made by May 6th. We recommend booking early due to June 6th and 7th being a big sports weekend with the start of the Pittsburgh Pirates vs. Philadelphia Phillies MLB series and the U.S. Open Golf Championship. The Fairmont Pittsburgh is approximately 4 minutes (0.2 mi) and the Wyndham Grand Pittsburgh Downtown is approximately 5-7 minutes (0.3 mi) walking distance.

There will be a shuttle to transport guests to and from the Fairmont and Wyndham Grand to the Mehendi in Aspinwall on Friday evening. Additional details to follow. Both hotels are a short walk or ride to the wedding venue on Saturday. The Fairmont is approximately 4 minutes and the Wyndham Grand is approximately 5-7 minutes walking distance.

The attire for the Mehendi is summer cocktail (Indian or Western) while the ceremony and reception are traditional Indian or formal attire.

There will be a 2 hour time gap between the ceremony and reception. Please check out the "Things to Do" page for suggested ideas on things to do during that time.

With the exception of family, the wedding events will be adults-only.
