Q + A

Will there be transportation to and from the venue?

Yes! We will have shuttles picking up and dropping off guests at both the Kimpton and DoubleTree hotels where we have blocks. Please see the Shuttle Schedule tab for more information. Please note that Veritas is about 30 minutes away from downtown Charlottesville in a remote area. Ubers and taxis will not be an option leaving the venue, as service tends to be unreliable. We strongly encourage everyone take the shuttle, so that we all have fun while staying safe! :)

Can I drive myself to the venue?

Yes, you can drive and park at the venue. If you plan to drive, please let either Kate or Matt know. Thanks!

Are kids welcome?

As much as we love your little ones, kids and babies are not invited to our wedding events.

What is the wedding dress code?

Our wedding is cocktail attire - think suits for the men and cocktail dress or formal jumpsuits for the women. Ladies, please keep in mind that you will need to walk across grass for the ceremony, so plan your shoes accordingly! :)

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Mother nature permitting, our ceremony will be outdoors. The cocktail hour will be both indoors and outdoors and the reception will be indoors.

What if I have a dietary restriction?

We are happy to accommodate any dietary restrictions or allergies you may have. Once our invitations are sent out, you will be able to inform us of those.

Should I bring my gift to the wedding festivities?

No, we are so thankful that you are planning to get us something, but please ship it directly to our new house in Crozet. Our address is 2861 Rambling Brook Lane, Crozet, VA 22932.

Is there a home football game that weekend?

Yes, there is a home UVa football game on Saturday, October 12. This means Charlottesville traffic will likely be heavier that day, particularly around the stadium and university, and hotels may book up more quickly. Please keep this in mind when making your travel plans.
