Sean and Kate met in Old Town, Alexandria for their first date at Virtue Feed & Grain. After a few dates over a couple of weeks, Sean invited Kate to a date night at a local shooting range, where she dazzled him with her shooting skills. When Kate thought that she may have finally found a keeper, Sean told her that he was getting sent to Tampa, FL for work for 6 months and would be leaving the area.

Sean was determined to see this relationship through. He flew up to DC to take Kate on a date for her birthday, and then again between Thanksgiving and Christmas. After courting her for several months, Kate decided that maybe this guy was worth putting some time and effort into pursuing.

Kate traveled to Tampa several times, they traveled to Puerto Rico, and finally Sean moved back to Virginia, where Kate put him to work on never ending house projects. After surviving a long trip to Italy without killing each other Sean knew she was the one. He proposed at the University of Chicago in December of 2023. The rest is history!
