Kate met Alex her first weekend at Georgia College at a fraternity party. She approached him first (which was very out of character for her) and asked if he knew the song playing. He said yes (and apparently lied because he didn’t actually know it) and they sang and danced together to one of the most basic songs out there....Mr. Brightside. From there, they exchanged numbers and stayed in touch as friends until Kate came to her senses 6 months later. Luckily, Alex remained patient because they have been inseparable ever since. Now, they live together in Augusta with their sweet cats, Bobby and Nova!


Alex and Kate’s 6+ year journey has consisted of growth, patience, loss, compromise, and many core memories together. Following graduation and a year of finding their places in this world, Alex agreed to move to Augusta, GA so Kate can fulfill her dreams of becoming a mental health counselor, and he found his passion for teaching in the process.


By the time they get married, they will both have Master’s degrees and be in their professions as a high school teacher and therapist. Looking back on their 18 and 19-year-old selves, who knew they would be where they are now? This is just one more chapter of their lives and they are excited for you to help celebrate the start of it!
