We love to be active, play games, listen to music, and spend time with friends and family. Daniel is an enneagram 5 and Katelyn is an enneagram 7.

Katelyn works at First Alert 6 WOWT, the local NBC tv station in Omaha, NE as a Media Executive, running marketing campaigns for local businesses.

Daniel is a full time drug discovery scientist at Labcorp, and a part time pharmacist at Hy-Vee. He has his masters in medicinal chemistry and a doctorate of pharmacy. Daniel is originally from Overland Park, KS, where most of his family still lives.

Daniel and Katelyn are currently long distance. Daniel lives in Madison, WI. Madison is a beautiful city surrounded by two large lakes. Fun fact: There are more parks per capita in Madison than any other city in the US! Daniel moved in May 2024 when he graduated from Creighton University. Katelyn is excited to join Daniel in Madison, as Katelyn currently lives in Omaha, NE.

Daniel proposed to Katelyn on New Years Eve in 2024! He took Katelyn to Mahogany Steak House in Omaha where they had steak, krab, lobster, and delicious desert. Makayla, Katelyn’s sister and Maid of Honor, works at Mahogany and made sure they had a really nice room with only 3 other tables.

After dinner, Daniel took Katelyn to Lauritzen, a beautiful botanical garden that was gorgeously decorated for Christmas and New Years. They walked around, and then when they went under a pergola adorned with Christmas lights, Daniel said, “Well I know how you love sending letters to each other in the mail, and that you just sent me one for Christmas. Well I have one I wrote for you but figured I would read it now instead of mailing it to you since we are here.” Then he read Katelyn the most beautiful love poem that he both wrote and memorized. Then he got down on one knee, pulled out the ring, and asked “Will you Marry Me?” Katelyn of course said, “Yes!”

Katelyn’s sister Makayla and her brother Ben’s girlfriend Kaytlhn were there and recorded and photographed the whole thing. They made sure Daniel and Katelyn got plenty of pictures they liked. Daniel and Makayla then told Katelyn all about their planning and preparation and everything that led up to that moment.

Then Katelyn, Makayla, and Ben were hosting an NYE party at their house that night, but unbeknownst to Katelyn, it was really just a front for Daniel and Katelyn’s engagement party! When Katelyn and Daniel came up the stairs all of the parents and siblings were there, including Daniel’s parents from out of town! Katelyn cried, she was so happy. It was a beautiful night, and one they are not soon to forget.
