We met in 2016, but our job sent us to different parts of the world. Our paths didn't cross over the next 7 years, but we each had friends and coworkers who worked with Bobby and Kat.
This all changed in 2023 when we were in Charlottesville. One of our great mutual friends convinced Kat that Bob was a catch, and let Bob know that Kat was interested.
We spent hours reconnecting on our first date, and our relationship took off from there. We travelled frequently around the country, introduced each other to our families, and continued learning more and more about each other as our bond grew.
In the summer of 2024, Kat left for Poland while Bobby moved to Kansas City. Our relationship thrived despite the physical distance between us.
In January of 2025, we started talking about next steps. In March, we travelled to Portland, Oregon to visit friends and family, spend time away from work, and see a new part of the country. Bobby also got to see some of the finest airport carpeting in the world. On March 18, we spent the day driving up the Oregon coast. Although we visited Hug Point and Proposal Rock, Bobby waited until sunset on Cannon Beach to ask Kat if she would marry him. Before Bobby could remember to pull out the engagement ring, Kat said yes. We spent the rest of the evening dining at Cannon Beach's finest hardware store/restaurant.
In April, we decided to pull forward our wedding to June 2025. We are so excited and humbled to be able to share our wedding with our family and friends who can make it to Colorado.
