Our Wedding

We met in 2016, but our job sent us to different parts of the world. Our paths didn't cross over the next 7 years, but we each had friends and coworkers who worked with Bobby and Kat.   This all changed in 2023 when we were in Charlottesville. One of our great mutual friends convinced Kat that Bob was a catch, and let Bob know that Kat was interested.   We spent hours reconnecting on our first date, and our relationship took off from there. We travelled frequently around the country, introduced each other to our families, and continued learning more and more about each other as our bond grew.   In the summer of 2024, Kat left for Poland while Bobby moved to Kansas City. Our relationship thrived despite the physical distance between us.   In January of 2025, we started talking about next steps. In March, we travelled to Portland, Oregon to visit friends and family, spend time away from work, and see a new part of the country. Bobby also got to see some of the finest airport carpeting in the world. On March 18, we spent the day driving up the Oregon coast. Although we visited Hug Point and Proposal Rock, Bobby waited until sunset on Cannon Beach to ask Kat if she would marry him. Before Bobby could remember to pull out the engagement ring, Kat said yes. We spent the rest of the evening dining at Cannon Beach's finest hardware store/restaurant.   In April, we decided to pull forward our wedding to June 2025. We are so excited and humbled to be able to share our wedding with our family and friends who can make it to Colorado.

The Craftwood Peak Inn wedding and reception venue is within a short driving distance from downtown Colorado Springs. We have a room block at The Antlers hotel in downtown Colorado Springs from Wednesday, June 18th, through the morning on Saturday, June 21st. The hotel also allows using the block for two days on either side of those dates, in case you want to come early or stay longer. In each invitation, we've included a QR code with an Uber voucher for each party to help you get to/from the airport, to/from the venue, or otherwise out and about in town as you celebrate with us! If you're looking for transportation options from Denver to Colorado Springs that don't require renting a car, check out Groome Transportation for information on their daily shuttles. While in town, we recommend parking in spaces that use the ParkMobile app, not the Metropolis QR code/app. There have been some issues, especially with the Metropolis lot that is directly across from the Antlers Hotel on the corner of Pikes Peak Ave and South Cascade Ave (17 Cascade Ave S Parking). Please let us know if you need some vetted options for parking downtown and we'll be happy to help!

Please let us know if you are told the block is full, and we can work with the hotel to expand the block. The hotel will allow reservations under the block until it closes the block on 19 May 2025. The hotel offers self-parking for $15/day for room block guests, or valet parking for $24/day for room block guests.

If you're looking for a way to get from Denver International Airport to Colorado Springs, Groome Transportation offers shuttles throughout the day with a dedicated stop at the Antlers Hotel. Come cheer on the local Colorado Springs Pioneer (minor minor) league baseball team! They're in town Wednesday to Sunday, and their mascot is a S'mores! Not the best baseball you'll ever see, but very fun to watch. The Friday night game will have fireworks!

Pikes Peak is accessible either via the Cog Railway or via car! Be prepared for a significant temperature difference at the top (maybe even snow!). If you want to drive, a Timed Entry Permit is required. More information can be found at the website under the Essential Info tab. The Pikes Peak International Hill Climb is on June 22nd this year, so there may be windows of limited access in the days leading up to it.
