Katie's Story


My friend Anna had decided that she was going to set me up. It started with a couple dates that just didn't work out. Then one evening she reached out to say that she had another option, and if this didn't work out, she promised to quit trying to set me up. Nick and I then had our first date at the end of May. He spent a lot of time hanging out with me and my crazy herd of animals (at this time I had a cat, goat, dog, 6 hens, and a rooster named Junior). I knew it was the real deal when he was not bothered if I asked him to help with the chickens or watch my pets and was not scared off by any of my nieces and nephews ;) On January 13, after a week of blizzards and my Brent questioning if this date really needed to happen. Nick and I went out to supper and when we came home, Nick popped the question right after I let both of our dogs outside. I turned around Nick was down on one knee and I was absolutely speechless. I nodded my head yes and that was that!
