Conor and Katherine met while working at Baxter Healthcare, in 2019. After spending the summer getting to know each other and becoming friends, they went their separate ways: Katherine returning to St. Louis for her final year at WashU, and Conor continuing to work with Baxter in Chicago. After about two months apart, they decided to try dating long distance. They knew they had found something special and were determined to make the distance work.

They had been dating for six months, when Katherine moved to Houston, Texas for work. They started a new chapter of cross country long distance which lasted for two years. During this time, they focused on growing individually, while staying connected through video calls, movie dates and many, many visits. They spoke on the phone every night, ending each call with a sign off of I love you, I miss you, good night and bye.

In January of 2022 , they received great news that Katherine had gotten a new job based in Chicago. She moved in May of 2022, to start their new lives of dating in the same city. They love the slower pace of life and the ability to put down roots together in one place. These days, Sundays are filled with family dinners at the Rowley's instead of drives to the airport.

After eight wonderful months of living in Chicago, Conor proposed in December of 2022 in Key West, FL. They quickly set a date for New Years Eve of 2023.

Each new year has brought a new chapter for the young couple. They love the idea of getting to celebrate their anniversary on the holiday every year and of their wedding being one big party!

It feels fitting to kick off 2024 officially as The Rowley's. Thank you for celebrating with us!
