West Coast Wilderness Lodge
The beautiful West Coast Wilderness Lodge has stunning rooms overlooking the ocean and forest. This is where the welcome BBQ, ceremony and reception will take place.
As these rooms are limited, we have reserved them for immediate family, the bridal party, and those travelling from far away. The lodge requires the couple assigns the rooms in advance. If you were not contacted to book at the lodge before December 1st, we recommend booking at the Backeddy Resort (see below).
Backeddy Resort & Marina
The lovely Backeddy Resort & Marina has a variety of coastal cabins (modern and vintage), rooms and geodesic domes. Only a few minutes walk away from the wedding venue, we recommend our guests not staying at the lodge to book here. Please call the Backeddy directly to reserve your room if you have not already.
The Backeddy also has a lovely waterfront pub for our guests to enjoy.
BC Ferries Horseshoe Bay Ferry Terminal
In order to get to the Sunshine Coast, you'll need to take a ferry from Horseshoe Bay to Langdale (unless you opt to charter a plane!).
The route is Vancouver (Horseshoe Bay) to Sunshine Coast (Langdale). We recommend making a ferry reservation well ahead of time to guarantee your spot. Only one reservation is required for each vehicle. The ferry takes approximately 45 minutes and you will need to arrive at the ferry terminal at least 30 minutes before your reservation.
On occasion, BC Ferries will need to cancel a sailing so we recommend giving yourself plenty of time to get to the sunshine coast.
