For Our Virtual Guests

This situation is less than ideal and this isn't the wedding that we had originally planned on having when we got engaged two years ago, but we are doing what we can to make the best of this situation. We're really sorry that we had to cut our guest list significantly to allow for social distancing and to reduce the amount of people traveling, but we will be providing a livestream for those who aren't able to attend. If you aren't able to tune in at the time of the ceremony, there will be a recording available afterwards- link below. We hope that you stay safe and healthy during this time.

Love, Matt and Kathleen

Covid-19 Accommodations

Here's what we're doing to make our event as Covid-safe as possible:

- We have reduced our guest list by 80% in order to social distance better.

-We are asking guests to wear face masks when they are out of their seats while in the reception hall.

-We will be providing masks and hand sanitizer.

-There will be no DJ or dance floor in order to minimize close contact between guests. Instead there will be miscellaneous games and activities for guests to choose from, including but not limited to: Giant Jenga, corn hole, and trivia.

- The reception hall, while indoors, will have an outdoor patio attached to it. The doors will be open throughout the night to increase ventilation in the space.

- Guests will have access to the outdoor gardens and patio spaces. This is where a lot of the games will be.

- Food will be plated instead of a self-serve buffet to minimize germ transfer.

FAQ's

Q: "Will we need to wear masks?"

A: "As of right now (June 1, 2021), our venue still has a mask policy so we ask that you wear a mask when you are not at your seat while in the reception hall. For example, while getting a drink at the bar."

Q: ”Can I take pictures at the wedding?”

A: “We encourage you to take pictures during the reception, but we ask that you keep your cameras and cell phones away during the ceremony as we have hired a professional to capture this moment for us.”

Q: "What does cocktail attire mean?

A:"Cocktail attire is in between formal and casual. For guys, a suit or sportscoat and tie. A tuxedo is too formal, jeans are too casual. For the ladies, a knee-length, tea-length, midi dress, or a jumpsuit. A floor length dress is too formal, a mini skirt is too casual."

Q: “Will Kathleen be taking Matt’s last name?”

A: “No, she will not. She likes her last name and isn’t interested in changing it.”

Q: “Will you be using a hashtag that we can search for to see pictures from the big day?”

A: “We are not. Instead, we will be using an app called The Guest (link in the details tab) that you can use to share any photos that you took during the day. The app will collect all of the photos that were shared with us, and after the wedding we will upload them to the photos tab on the website, where they will be available for a year after the wedding.”

Q: “When should I RSVP by?”

A: “We ask that you please RSVP by May 14 so that we have enough time to track down those who haven’t before we give our final head count to our vendors”

Q: “Will there be parking at the venue?”

A: “Yes! There will be free parking and security at the venue. There is also a free shuttle service for guests staying at the downtown hotels we have blocked that can transport you to and from the venue.”

Q: “Will the ceremony be indoors or outdoors?”

A: “Assuming that the weather cooperates, the ceremony will be outside and the reception will be inside, so make sure to dress accordingly!”

Q: “When is the reception scheduled to end?”

A: “The venue requires the reception be over by midnight, but feel free to continue the celebration somewhere else!”

Q: “Can I bring a date?”

A: “Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We have a strict guest list and we are only able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.“

Photo Sharing

We Want to See your Pictures!

We have created an album for our guests to upload any pictures they take during the day using The Guest app. Simply download the app, and once the wedding gets here, you'll be able to upload your pictures either automatically or manually once the Reception begins! They can be pictures of the venue, you and your friends, us, or miscellaneous details!

Please note: While we encourage you to take and share photos, we ask you to please refrain from doing so during the actual ceremony. The app is set up so that the sharing won't start until after the ceremony ends. We have hired a professional photographer to capture this moment so that you don't have to!
