There are several great hotel options around the Twin Cities! We've recommended guests stay at The Graduate Hotel Minneapolis because of its proximity to our venue (only a couple blocks down the road!) but there are lots of other hotel options in both downtown Minneapolis and Saint Paul, as well as in the surrounding suburbs! If you’re thinking of staying at a hotel or Airbnb/Vrbo in a suburb and aren’t sure about the location, let us know and we’ll be happy to give you suggestions :) See the "Travel" tab for links to the hotel website!

Enjoy great food and drinks and some of the best views (even from the cheap seats) of Downtown Minneapolis at Target field! 2024 home games around the wedding date: 6/10, 6/11, 6/12.

Just south of Minneapolis and near the airport, you can visit the Mall of America. MOA features over 500 stores and 60 restaurants as well as dozens of fun attractions including a movie theater, an indoor theme park, Minnesota’s largest aquarium, arcades, and mini golf!

Como Zoo is a great way to spend an afternoon, and is definitely kid friendly. There's several great animal exhibits and a conservatory. And it's free! There's also a carnival and small mini golf course next door!

The science museum is such a cool way to spend an afternoon! A fun option for both kids and adults!

One of the most popular views of Downtown Minneapolis, enjoy a walk (or scooter ride) along St. Anthony Main and over the Stone Arch bridge to the Pillsbury museum to take in the sites and history of Minneapolis.

Venturing to downtown Stillwater is such a great way to spend an afternoon! Located along the St. Croix river, it has fun restaurants and bars with great views, candy stores, antique shops, and boutiques!

Fishing is a great way to enjoy some of the 10,000+ lakes in MN! There are several lakes around the area where you can drop a line and potentially catch the fish of a lifetime! We'll back you up when you tell other guests the fish was *thiiiiiiiiiis* big. If you're looking for lake recommendations or fishings charters, let us know and we'll key you in on some of our favorites!

The Cities have an amazing food and beverage scene, one you definitely shouldn't miss out on! Below are some of our favorite food and drink spots. Key's Cafe- several locations around the city! diner food with MN flare. AMAZING breakfasts. Highland Grill-great food all day, but breakfast is AMAZING. especially fun if you include a breakfast margarita ;) Henhouse-in downtown Minneapolis. again, amazing breakfast and lunch options. with a bakery to-die-for! Red Rabbit-restaurants in great areas of both St. Paul and Minneapolis. delicious and unique food. fun drinks. even better brunch Surly Brewing Company-this is a prime location for enjoying patio drinks during an early MN summer!

Where should I park? If you're driving to the venue, the easiest and most convenient location to park will be in the East River Road Garage (385 E River Parkway, Minneapolis, MN 55455). There will be signs directing you where to park for the DeSmidt-Carr Wedding once you're in the ramp. Where do I go after I park? Once you've parked in the garage, take the elevator up to the plaza level (level "1"). Then walk east to Coffman Memorial Union. Once in Coffman, take the elevators to the 4th floor. If you want to avoid walking outside, take the elevators in the garage to level "A" and follow the signs to the "Gopher Way" tunnel to Coffman. You'll follow the tunnel and emerge in the basement of Coffman. Take the stairs, then the escalator up to the ground floor. Then take the Coffman elevators up to the fourth floor. Sometimes navigating campus can seem like a maze, but we'll have lots of signs throughout the parking garage and in Coffman to help direct you!***Parking for all wedding guests in the East River Road Parking Garage will be free. Please make sure to bring your ticket with you after you park! They will be validated at the venue!****

What's the food/alcohol situation? There will be an <a href="https://i.imgur.com/UEHOQyI.gif" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">open bar all night</a>! There will be appetizers available between the ceremony and reception. Dinner will be plated entrees. When you RSVP you'll select your meal preference. If you have specific dietary restrictions, please comment on your RSVP and we'll do our best to accommodate that! We'll also have some late night snacks available to help keep the party going!
