About Vail

Picture of About Vail

Vail is separated by two small villages called the Vail Village and Lionshead Village. The wedding is on the east side of the town closer to Vail Village. There is a free in-town bus that goes between both villages as well as some of the outlying areas of the town. It is an easy way to get around once you are in Vail. Some hotels and condos have onsite parking, valet or complementary shuttles throughout town.

Parking in Vail can be expensive and not readily available so check with your hotel. Mountain airport shuttles are the way to go for those who don't want to rent a car to get into town from DIA or the Eagle-Vail airport.

Airports

Picture of Airports

You can book flights from your city of origin to either DIA or the Eagle-Vail Airport to get into Colorado.

Denver International Airport is approximately 2 hours east of Vail and is a large airport with most amenities for travelers.

Eagle-Vail Airport is approximately 30-40 minutes from Vail and is a smaller regional airport that serves commercial commuter aircraft and privately owned planes.

Once in either airport, you will need ground transportation to Vail.
