This speaks for itself, but beware the long wait and high ticket price. Try to purchase a timed ticket in advance. 30 Rockefeller Plaza (“30 Rock”) also has a great view from The Top of the Rock, which is slightly less pricey.
Sandy beach located 15 minutes from hotel block hotels in a state park. Great for swimming, surfing, and sitting out in the sun. Bring a picnic or take advantage of concessions located near some of the beaches (“Fields”).
Home of Luna Park amusement park, The Wonder Wheel and Cyclone, NY Aquarium, Nathan’s Famous Hot Dogs, the Brooklyn Cyclones minor league baseball team, and the beach and boardwalk. Coney Island has something for everyone, but limited parking. Make sure you research the best way to get there and back, and leave yourself plenty of time in between to enjoy.
Made famous by The Ramones and located in the couple’s home borough of Queens. You can’t go wrong with a trip to Rockaway Beach. If you are driving, you can go uptown to Jacob Riis State Park, pay for parking, and enjoy beautiful sand and surf away from the shopping and residential parts of the peninsula. Or, take the A train and post up around Beach 96th Street. If you go to the latter, we recommend you enjoy fish tacos at Tacoway Beach in the Rockaway Surf club and a frozen drink at Connolly’s Bar on B95th St. There are bathroom/shower facilities and delicious food/drink stands near both locations.
NY Mets Baseball Game

Unfortunately the Yankees, of which the bride is a lifelong fan, are not in town the weekend of our wedding. Almost as good though, the Mets are playing at (the easily accessible by car, LIRR train, and subway) Citi Field in Flushing on multiple dates around our wedding. Specifically, on June 15, they are playing the Padres with a Hawaiian shirt giveaway for the first 15,000 fans!
