Great festival to support and learn about the local water men and women with local seafood, drinks and music! Bonus: walking distance from the Inn!
A must each visit to the Outer Banks for Craig and KJ! Favorite beach bar with laid back vibe! Eats and drinks with surfing footage on the tube. We love the shrimp and veggie steamer basket or Big Wave Dave sandwich. They even have sand volleyball courts in the back!
MP 11 beach road, Nags Head
Sweet little beach bar bodega with local brews, also the place where we will gather together for the Rehearsal Dinner Roast & Toast!
Check out the Garbage Plate or Special Occasion Pasta! Or get your vibe started with a yummy Bushwacker drink!

Pier bar with live music, eats and drinks (lots of beer on tap)
KJ spent 5 years of her life living on the Outer Banks and working here, some of those years along with her Mom, too! She and her Dad also worked on the roof one year for repairs. You might find a photo inside of her fishing! Still KJ's favorite crab cakes on the beach! The Beached Peach drink is pretty nice to sip on during a sunset over the Croatan Sound.
MP 16, Nags Head
This is an old Outer Banks favorite! Great oysters, wood fired pizza, or Tuna Tatake for an app!

Brunch! An old restaurant that keeps the fishing fleet happy with full bellies of delicious food!
Nags Head
But first...coffee!
Great morning/afternoon stroll through beautiful gardens
Very large Sand Dunes to roll down and act 12 years old again! Also a pretty and unique hike with 360 views of the barrier islands.
For the adventurous people, check out Kitty Hawk Kites across the big road to book a lesson in hang gliding!
MP 12.5 Nags Head
This is where "First in Flight" comes from on all the NC license plates. Orville and Wilbur Wright took to air in the biplane they built on December 17, 1903. Climb to the top of the monument to see 360 degree views of the islands, get a tour in the museum to learn more about Orville and Wilbur Wright's first flight!
KJ fishes every year in the Alice Kelly Tournament, an offshore billfish all ladies fundraising tournament with a group of girlfriends. We leave from the docks of Oregon Inlet and head to the gulf stream for a good time and hopes of catching fish!
Around 3:30 pm daily, the charter boats arrive back at the dock, it's fun to watch them unload the days catches! Book a charter if you're feeling adventurous! Just not on Friday please :)
Local yummy froyo shop run by local pro surfer, Jessie Hines and his wife! You might see dollar dollar bills and quarters hung/stuck in random places all over the building. It's a thing. They collect all the money at the end of the year and donate it to Surfing for Autism!
Bodie (pronounced body) Island Lighthouse
It's a lighthouse.
