Our Wedding

Katie and Sam met at Indiana University in January of 2021. He asked her out for coffee and they met at the Soma coffee house in downtown Bloomington. During this time, the coffee shop did not have seating for customers. Instead, Sam and Katie had to take their coffee upstairs to the Mexican restaurant and eat chips and salsa with their coffees. From there both of them realized they had met someone worth knowing. By February 14th, 2021 Sam asked Katie to be his girlfriend and they have been together ever since.

Where it Started

Now Katie and Sam enjoy traveling and hanging out with their friends and family. One of their favorite things to do is to visit Bloomington for IU football tailgates. They also enjoy traveling for vacations or to visit friends. Whether it is dressing up for their favorite holiday (Halloween!) or hanging out with their cat Hunter, Sam and Katie always have a good time.

Meet Haley Skiko! Katie and Haley became friends during their freshman year at IU through Sigma Kappa. Haley was the first person Katie told about her date with Sam, and Haley convinced Katie to go on a second date! Katie's favorite quality about Haley is her honesty. She tells the truth when you need it most.

Katie and Heather met in preschool! Heather is Katie's longest friend and has been with her through it all. Katie's favorite thing about Heather is her trustworthiness. Heather is someone you can always trust, with secrets and with a good time ;)

Katie and Lauren met through Sigma Kappa at IU. They love to visit Chicago together and make memories with their friends. Katie's favorite thing about Lauren is her listening skills. Lauren is always there when you need a friend to listen!

Katie and Riley became friends through Sigma Kappa when they both served on the executive board in the sorority. Riley adopted Hunter's (Katie and Sam's cat) brother! Katie's favorite quality about Riley is her loyalty. She will always be there for you!

Riley McCabe

Katie and Olivia met through Sigma Kappa at IU. They initially bonded over their love for cats and Taylor Swift. Katie's favorite thing about Olivia is her reliability. She is someone you can count on no matter what! (unless she is pulling a prank on you with Lauren...)

Oliva Eldert

Emily and Katie met in elementary dance class, but later became closer in middle and high school. Emily and Katie have had many shared laughs and memories together. Katie's favorite thing about Emily is her sense of humor. She always makes people laugh!

Emily England

Sam and Eric are fraternity brothers and were roommates at Indiana University. They met as a random roommate match, but quickly became good friends. Eric is not only close friends with Sam, but he along with his girlfriend Shannon have become good friends with Katie as well. 

Eric Murillo

Chris is one of Sam's oldest friends, remaining friends through middle school and high school. Once the two graduated, they joined the military together. Sam joined the Army, and Chris joined the Marines, where Chris still serves to this day.

Sam and Luchi met at Indiana University and were members of the same fraternity. They both frequently make trip to South Bend to tailgate Notre Dame football games and hangout at Luchi's family owned bar, Corby's.

Luciano Mittiga

Will and Sam met and became friends at Indiana University where Will is currently attending grad school. Sam enjoys visiting Will frequently to tailgate IU football games and enjoy the town of Bloomington.

Will Faulkner

Ben is a childhood friend of Sam's who now works in the film industry out in Los Angeles California. Despite the distance the two have kept in close contact and Sam has made multiple trips west to see Ben and experience parts of LA and southern California.

Ben Thatcher

Sam and Anthony met in middle school and have remained close friends to this day. Anthony helped bridge the gap between college and childhood friends during Sam's recent bachelor party in Nashville Tennessee.
