Hi everyone! Katie and Devan here, and we are so incredibly thankful to have all of you here with us to celebrate this special moment.Our story began in November of 2021. We met, connected instantly, and by December, we officially became a couple. From the start, everything just felt easy—like we had known each other forever. We’ve shared so many firsts together since then, and each one has brought us closer.One of our early adventures was when we visited Atlanta and got to see his favorite baseball team, the Braves, play the Phillies.We met each other’s families and started learning each other’s traditions—holidays, special meals, little family quirks—and slowly blended our worlds together. We’ve adopted more animals than most people would consider “normal,” and through that have experienced both the joy of new life and the heartbreak of loss. But through it all, we’ve been there for each other.We moved in together, supported one another through college, and even tackled long-distance stretches when Katie would go home for breaks. There were late-night FaceTimes, countdowns to reunions, and a lot of patience, but we made it through stronger than ever.We’ve flown across the country to visit Katie’s brother and sister-in-law, and we’ve built so many fun memories traveling and exploring together. Whether it’s a spontaneous trip or one we planned for months, we’ve loved every moment. From Carowinds and Universal Studios to Busch Gardens, California Adventure, and of course, Disneyland—our inner kids are definitely alive and well.But beyond all the fun and adventure, it’s the quiet moments—the everyday routines, the small laughs, the inside jokes—that have really built the foundation of our relationship.We truly found our best friend in each other when we least expected it. And as we begin this next chapter as husband and wife, we are so excited to continue growing, learning, and creating more memories—side by side.Thank you for being a part of our story and this unforgettable day.

MEET THE WEDDING PARTY!

This is Juliette – Katie’s Maid of Honor and best friend. If you’ve ever seen them together, you know chaos follows and boredom doesn’t stand a chance. Their friendship took off during COVID quarantine, when they basically became inseparable – playing ball, hitting the beach, and making far too many late-night Checkers runs.
Their bond is built on laughter, loyalty, and just the right amount of weird. Juliette always thought no one could love Katie as much as she does… and then came Devan, who somehow passed the vibe check. She’s so proud to stand by Katie – even if she had to give up the #1 spot.

This is Collin (far right) - Devan's Best Man and best friend. Collin and Devan first became friends back in elementary school, bonding over their shared love of baseball. Since then, Collin has been the kind of friend everyone hopes for: loyal, dependable, and always ready with a joke that has Devan—and even Katie—laughing to the point of tears. Whether it’s a tough moment or a celebration like today, Devan has always been able to count on Collin to show up, no questions asked. There’s no one Devan would rather have standing by him on this special day.

This is Shelby – one of Katie’s bridesmaids, college softball teammate, and Fortnite partner-in-crime. Katie and Shelby have been through just about everything together, on and off the field. From long practices to late-night gaming marathons, their friendship has been built on laughter, loyalty, and the occasional trash talk over headsets.
Shelby is the friend who always tells it like it is – even when Katie doesn’t want to hear it – and honestly, that’s exactly the kind of person she needs in her life. They joke constantly, laugh endlessly, and have a bond that’s as real as it gets.

This is Landon, one of Devan’s groomsmen. While Landon and Devan are technically cousins, their bond has always felt more like brotherhood. Landon has been a constant source of support in Devan’s life—always there, always in his corner. If you ever hear loud laughter from across the room, chances are it’s these two cracking jokes or watching some ridiculous video together. Their shared sense of humor and connection run deep, and Devan couldn’t be more grateful to have Landon standing beside him.

This is Emily -- one of Katie's bridesmaids. Katie met her friend Emily at work, and they quickly bonded over their shared goal of going to vet school. From the start, they realized they had almost the exact same sense of humor, and they hit it off immediately. Their friendship is full of inside jokes—especially their classic “HELP…sure”—that never fails to make them laugh. Emily is the kind of friend who is always there for a phone call when Katie needs advice or just someone to talk to. Whether they’re making Starbucks runs or going out for Mexican food with friends or just the two of them, they always have a great time. Katie knows she can depend on Emily no matter what, and having a friend like her makes everything a little more fun and a lot more meaningful.

Here is CT - one of Devan's longest and most loyal friends. Their friendship goes all the way back to Kindergarten, and since then, CT has always been someone Devan can count on to have his back. Whether they're teaming up in video games or hitting the bowling lanes, time with CT is always a good time. Devan is incredibly thankful to have CT by his side on his special day.

Meet Kelia – Katie’s sister-in-law and bridesmaid. She’s smart, funny, and the kind of person you can always count on – whether it’s for a laugh, life advice, or teaming up on Katie's brother, Kyle!
Even though they live across the country, Katie and Kelia have grown closer over the years, bonding over their shared love for medicine – one treats humans and the other treats animals! She’s been an incredible source of support throughout Katie’s vet school journey, and Katie is so thankful to have her as both family and a friend.

Kelia Gerhardt

This is Kyle—Katie’s older brother and one of Devan's groomsman. While Devan and Kyle haven’t had many chances to hang out in person, they've already built a great connection. Whether it’s through video games, talking sports, or teaming up to give Katie a hard time, the bond between them keeps growing. Devan is excited for the future of their friendship and grateful to have Kyle standing by his side.
