Our Wedding

Our love story began in August 2023 on a dating app (of all places!). We knew we had something special when we walked away from our first date knowing each other's deepest desires, values, and views instead of each other's favorite color. Some early highlights included watching Jaden's road races and visiting Art Prize in Grand Rapids, and our first road trip to Detroit in October!

How We Met

Jaden popped the question on October 5th, 2024 at one of Katie's favorite places: Owasippe Scout Reservation. At site #6 by the lake, there was no other place that could encapsulate the picturesque view of a live engagement that Katie wanted, and a perfect site for the easiest "yes." On that day, our forever was about to begin.

We ran cross country and track & field together while we were in college (against each other, actually) and became great friends. While I was at Albion College, we stayed friends throughout and even after graduating. Jaden is such an inspiration to me as a runner, friend, and believer.

I'm Christina, and Katie and I became friends when we were both the Handicraft directors at Owasippe Scout Reservation! I'm currently the camping specialist at REI and love finding hidden antique shops. I'm always crafting, so Katie and I often share our homestead hobbies together.

The first time I ever met Jaden was on my official visit to Olivet College when I was considering joining the cross country and track teams. From the moment I met the team, Jaden introduced himself immediately. That stood out to me, because on all my campus visits up to that point, I had never met anyone as excited or willing to talk with me as he was. That became one of the biggest reasons I chose Olivet as my school that following fall. From that first day on campus, Jaden became my first and quickly one of my best friends. Since then, we've shared a lot of miles, Braves games, late-night story sessions, unforgettable memories, and a few Pink Whitneys. And I can say with all my heart that he is one of the kindest, friendliest, and most thoughtful people I know. I'm honored to stand next to him on the biggest day of his life. Love you, bro!

I'm Maggie and I’m from Grosse Pointe, MI. I’m a middle school math teacher. I met Katie when we were RAs together at Grand Valley. One of my favorite memories with Katie comes from late night study sessions blasting music in Mackinaw. Does Hot Tub by Yung Gravy ring a bell? Katie has been there for me through it all and I am beyond blessed and excited to be standing by my best friend as she marries the love of her life.

Jaden and I first met in the Spring of 2002, "Baby Dee" was a nickname that was given to me very early on and luckily has been outgrown. As Jaden's brother, I have quite literally grown up with Jaden, seeing the highs and lows as we each grew into our own. If there is ever a need for a kidney, we both know where we are looking first.

Hi I'm Julie, Katie's oldest sister. We have bonded over the years over our love of the outdoors and adventures in learning to make breads, meal preps, and anything we can try to make naturally/homemade. Currently I am working on learning all I can to start a homestead.

We have been close friends since Jaden joined Mount Hope Church. We met there and cultivated a strong brotherhood and support network through our shared love for Christ and wanting to grow in our faith. I really enjoy our great conversations and fellowship together, and I'm especially looking forward to celebrating this special day!

Hi, I’m Sara! Katie and I met when we were in high school and became great friends in our English class. One of my favorite times with Katie was wandering around school during spirit week with her in her Grinch onesie. She and I have kept in touch after school with our random phone calls to catch each other up on life. Every call reminded me how much we’ve grown from our time in school, and now I’m so excited to be part of her bridal party!
