Invitations will be sent out roughly in late March, and you'll be able to RSVP through this site. The deadline is June 1st.
What is the dress code for the ceremony and reception?
Casual, though no jeans or shorts. For men, dress pants and a collared shirt; jacket optional/not necessarily encouraged (odds are good that it'll be hot and humid).
Heels not recommended - ceremony will be on grass, and not totally even terrain.
Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?
Weather permitting, the ceremony will be outdoors. Backup plan - inside the reception venue (same location).
What are your favorite restaurants/breweries/similar establishments in the area?
There are a ton of good options, but here are a few favorites:
Puerto Vallarta (Council Bluffs - casual Mexican food),
Umami (Bellevue - affordable but high-quality sushi),
Goldbergs (Omaha - 50th and Dodge - great burgers & similar faire),
Au Courant (Omaha - Benson - our pick for 'fine dining' - chef's tasting menu recommended; reservation may be advisable),
Monolithic Brewing (Omaha - 120th and Fort - known for their IPAs but with great beers in many categories; limited but good food menu),
Site-1 Brewing (Omaha - West Downtown) - great beer selection overall, in a convenient location,
Omaha Dog Bar (Omaha - South Downtown) - at least according to a random USA today article, one of the best dog bars in the US. Awesome place to hang out on a nice day (we go often, with our without a dog),
Beercade2 (Omaha - South Downtown) - relaxed arcade bar with everything from skee-ball to NFL Blitz, and a ton of pinball machines. Tons of local and other beers on tap. Kids are welcome every day until 7pm (must be accompanied by an adult).
Do you have a registry?
We have a couple of registries linked on this site, though at time of writing they aren't exactly fleshed out. Cards/physical gifts are also welcome.
How do I get to and from the wedding venue?
The venue is semi-rural, roughly a 20-minute drive from Downtown Omaha (all paved roads with the exception of the driveway). There is a good amount of parking at the site, and Uber availability should be relatively good, but we'll also survey w/RSVPs regarding interest in a shuttle (likely we'd just hit the two hotel locations).
