We have been enormously fortunate to spend the first four years of our relationship co-located and generally co-scheduled. We used this time to build a resilient and enduring relationship; unfortunately, we did not use it to have our wedding.

Our relationship matured coincident with our careers, and now that we're ready to say our vows, the Navy is ready to send us off on separate deployments and detachments with little notice. And so, despite our optimism, Katie will be on a boat far, far away on our original wedding weekend and we've shifted our nupital planning to July.

We hope that this change of plans does not induce undue stress and we appreciate your patience as we plan and re-plan our wedding. We cannot wait to see you all in sunny Austin, TX this July!
